Have you heard of a Schumann Resonance Generator? Maybe.

The quote, Future medicine will be the medicine of frequencies,” is widely attributed to Albert Einstein.

What is the Schumann Resonance? The Schumann Resonance is a set of natural electromagnetic waves trapped in the atmospheric cavity between the Earth’s surface and the ionosphere, excited by global lightning. It vibrates at a fundamental frequency of 7.83 Hz, acting as the Earth’s natural electromagnetic “heartbeat”.

Why am I exploring it? I still gravitate low tech. After years healing my adrenals by living off-grid, I continue my journey of turning back toward lo-fi basic technologies in the more modern world. My health has been informed by energy medicine: earthing, whole foods, homeopathy, qi gong, bioresonance, color & turning forks, mediation, sound healing, reiki, etc. I purchased a frequency generator which runs via an electrified copper coil tuned to a frquency between 0-20K. I’ve been using 7.83 Hz to sleep, 10.0 Hz to create a conducive meditative field and 639.0 to improve interpersonal communication in groups. This is fun…..

Everything has a energetic signature. Everything emits a vibration. May you bend the force in your favor.

Wood: believe the tiger https://drsaritaelizabeth.com/wood-believe-the-tiger/ Sun, 31 May 2026 19:06:58 +0000 https://drsaritaelizabeth.com/?p=5499 The Tiger in the Chinese Zodiac is associated with beginnings, newness, spring, fresh starts and next stages.

It is associated with power, strength and courage.

Tigers embody yang on earth: action and assertion.

The tiger asks us to believe in ourselves.

Channel the tiger energy to start a new project and trust your inner strength.

Wood: Time for a spring clean: get your house in order https://drsaritaelizabeth.com/wood-time-for-a-spring-detox-get-your-house-in-order/ Sat, 30 May 2026 15:27:19 +0000 https://drsaritaelizabeth.com/?p=5465 Continue reading →]]>

Just as it is important to know the source of your food, it is equally advisable to know what goes into your home cleaners. Your skin is your largest organ, absorbing much of what it contacts. Our chosen daily cleaning and grooming products can also affect your lung and hormonal health as well as your immune system.

The products that you use to clean your home and laundry are often highly fragranced and poorly labeled as to their toxicity. Research shows that household cleaning and pesticide products may contribute to breast cancer because many contain endocrine disrupting chemicals or mammary gland carcinogens. Further, the products that you use to clean your home and laundry are culprits as endocrine disruptors and associated with asthma.

Get your house in order, read ingredient lists and remove harmful chemicals from your cabinets. For an easy way to create healthy habits choose an #ElementWisdomCard daily. Digital printables are in the works for you to download, print from home or your local print shop.

For cleaning around the house, try these bio-friendly alternatives to the chemicals you may already be using:

Spray glass and mirrors with vinegar and wipe clean in circular motion with crumpled recycled newspapers. This alternative leaves windows and mirrors more streak-free than harsher chemicals.

Need to unclog a drain? pour 1/2 a cup of baking soda followed by 1/2 a cup of vinegar in the clogged drain and promptly plug the drain. After one hour unplug the drain and pour boiling water in the drain. Sometimes you will need to repeat the process, but this solution is so much better for the environment and your pipes than those caustic chemicals found in commercial drain cleaners.

For a multi-purpose spray cleaner that is uniquely yours, mix 1/2 cup of vinegar with 2 cups of water, then add 1 teaspoon of your regular dish washing soap (not dishwasher soap) and 10-20 drops of your favorite essential oil. Make it fun by mixing up different scents each time you make a batch.

One of my favorite hand scrubs from a beach trip I took several years ago, is a sea salt scrub. Simply combine 1/2 a cup of sea salt, 1/2 a cup of oil (I prefer coconut, but you can use olive oil, avocado oil, hemp oil, pretty much any oil you prefer), and essential oils to your preferred fragrance. Lemon, lavender and rosemary really bring the island vacation feel to this exfoliating scrub. After a particularly messy project, this scrub will help remove the worst dirt and grease from your hands. It can be stored in a shell or a bowl at the sink. How fun!

Wood: Enjoy sprouted foods https://drsaritaelizabeth.com/wood-enjoy-sprouted-foods/ Fri, 29 May 2026 13:10:18 +0000 https://drsaritaelizabeth.com/?p=5480 Continue reading →]]> Enjoy Sprouted Foods

When you look to nature it’s obvious what to do next to move your health in the right direction. Choose foods strong in life force. Sprouting is the spring life force breaking though the cold ground of winter.

Many foods have increased health benefits in sprouted forms. Sprouted foods are easier to digest, and it is easier for our bodies to process the nutrients in these foods.

How do I sprout at home? Read more here!

Garden Tip:

Did you know that you can grow your own garlic from sprouted bulbs? Learn how here: https://www.almanac.com/plant/garlic

Sprouts (aka micro greens) are versatile edibles. I enjoy them as a sandwich or wrap filling, side salad, topping most any bowl or floating in most any soup.

Wood: Dissolve Anger https://drsaritaelizabeth.com/wood-spring-dissolve-anger/ Tue, 26 May 2026 20:38:18 +0000 https://drsaritaelizabeth.com/?p=5449 Continue reading →]]> In the best of our human experience, we will all feel the full gamut of emotions.

Anger is associated with the spring season, a liver out of balance, as energy rises quickly. In awareness, we can experience anger without getting stuck in it. If the anger continues to linger, creating suffering and misery within and without, we can choose to resolve it – dissolve it – move it. Practices like exercise, creativity, meditation, and gardening can help shift the stuck energy of anger. Castor Oil Packs are a wonderful self care treatment that spreads the energy and invigorates the lymphatic system.

Acupuncture can also help bring balance to our mind-body-emotions. Book your visit today.

Water ~ Alkalizing Seaweed Soup https://drsaritaelizabeth.com/water-alkalizing-seaweed-soup/ Thu, 29 Jan 2026 14:02:35 +0000 https://drsaritaelizabeth.com/?p=4357 Continue reading →]]> Enjoying our Winter Soup Cleanse?

You may also enjoy this Alkalizing Seaweed Soup that supports our Water Element. While the salty taste of salt directs qi and healing to the Kidney, Bladder & Adrenals, it is an easy winter way to add a fermented food into your diet to strengthen the Earth Element’s Stomach, Spleen & Pancreas. Besides soups, miso is a favorite ingredient in my salad dressings & sauces. I often have a cup of miso for breakfast. The combination of probiotics and seaweeds benefits my gut-brain axis. The medicinal key is to keep it out of direct cooking or boiling, so that we benefit from the probiotics verses denature them with too much heat.

3 Tbsp rehydrated seaweed

1 c shitake mushrooms

2 inches green onions (lengthwise into strips)

2 c vegetable broth

1/4 tsp sea salt, fresh pepper, spices, miso to taste

1/2 – 1 tsp tamari

Cut seaweed into bite sized pieces. Wash mushrooms, cut off and discard root. Cut mushroom across into half. Add pepper, tamari, sea salt (only if needed), mushroom, and seaweed to broth. Heat to gentle boil. Remove from heat. Thin miso paste with stock. Add thinned miso back to soup stock. Garnish with green onions.

Water ~ Perfect your sleep https://drsaritaelizabeth.com/water-perfect-your-sleep/ Wed, 28 Jan 2026 19:57:06 +0000 https://drsaritaelizabeth.com/?p=4408 Continue reading →]]> Who doesn’t dream about a perfect night’s sleep? falling asleep within 30 minutes, 7-9 hours of continuous sleep to cycle through light, medium and REM stages multiple times, falling back to sleep easily if awakened, waking refreshed and energized throughout the day.

What can help us achieve perfect sleep? let’s see what the science suggests

 1. Aromatherapy: try a bedside diffuser with relaxing scents or blends or a hand, foot, head and neck self massage before bed.

Benefits of aromatherapy for insomnia. My favorite sleep oil available for you on Fullscript.

This study suggests single aroma inhalation, lavender, offers the greatest sleep benefit.

Had a long day? Try a reflexology massage bonus if you add aromatherapy.

2. Acupuncture – Get on my schedule book today

A review of studies shows acupuncture, acupressure and herbs enhance sleep quality. Acupuncture also supports your pharma choice for a best night’s sleep.

3. Postmenopausal? Try reflexology, yoga or walking

Commit to a regular yoga class that works with your schedule. Find a local class, schedule private sessions or discover a you tube instructor. I invite my friends to walk and talk in the park, downtown or along the river instead of meeting up for happy hour or coffee.

4. Classical music trumps audiobooks.

In a comparative study between music and audiobooks, sleep and depressive symptoms improved with relaxing classical music 45 minutes before bedtime.

5. Earthing is amazing.

It’s impossible to count all the ways, on two hands, in which walking barefoot on the earth benefits humans. Yup, sleep improvement is in the count. A recent study entitled Grounding (earthing) as related to electromagnetic hygiene: An integrative review discusses inspiring research and anecdotal evidence from patient treatments involving direct contact with the ground. Give it a read by clicking on the title above.

6. Try a caffeine free trial

While age and genotype contribute to caffeine tolerance, it’s a safe bet that caffeine is not helping your sleep. Many of my patients report, after reducing or eliminating caffeine, that they had no idea how much it impacted their ability to fall asleep, stay asleep, sleep quality, feeling rested or their energy level throughout the day. Remember, black tea, green tea, caff and decaf coffee, energy drinks, chocolate all contain caffeine. I typically suggest a step down then complete elimination for a 4-8 week trial because dose matters. Patients report enjoying adaptogenic mushroom blends as a substitute. Some patients that tolerate caffeine better or wish to enjoy it on special occasions benefit from waiting several hours after waking to allow natural cortisol levels to rise. Discover a herbal tea that strengthens your constitution or try hot ginger or lemon water upon waking. Additionally, take that first hit of caffeine with a little food to minimize gastric discomfort.

Try some of my favorite Mushroom Coffees or sign up & search the Fullscript catalog for a full listing.

7. Give up Alcohol

Not only does it destroy sleep quality, but even moderate use encourages snoring by relaxing the muscle tone of throat and neck. You may be disturbing your bed mate, and who wants that? No one. You may fall asleep faster, but alcohol disrupts REM sleep and reduces overall sleep quality.
